The role of women, their position and rights has been a topic of debate in nearly every nation and culture. It has become a controversial issue especially in our modern age of social networking. Women have been regarded as substandard to men for many years, I see this as a lack of knowledge of the word of God, an act of selfishness, disobedience to the Word of God and not having the fear of God.
Myles Munroe wrote, “Women are considered to be inferior to men, second citizens; to be objects for sensual gratification alone; to be weak; incapable of real strength. To lack in intelligence and therefore having nothing to contribute to society. They are personal property of men, the equivalent of cattle. They are personal servants, whose only purpose is to meet the needs of their masters…as domestic slaves, to be used as desired. An object to be passed around until finished with and then discarded, also a Subhuman and deserving abuse.” This is not the purpose why God created women and I pray no anointed woman with purpose will suffer such in Jesus name.
Anointed women with purpose “shall build their homes and in habit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of my people (says the Lord), and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labour in vain, nor bring children for trouble; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. It shall come to pass that before they call, I (God) will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:21-24. Therefore, anointed women must ‘’rise up, so that women who are at ease, will hear the voice of the Lord; complacent daughters, give ear to the Lords speech. In a year and some days you will be troubled, you complacent women; for the vintage will fail, the gathering will not come. Therefore, tremble, you women who are at ease; be troubled, you complacent ones.” Isaiah 32:9-11.
The things of this world will surely fade away, what we pursue outside the will and purpose of God shall never stand. We are not to be in competition with men but to be building our homes into that which will be pleasing to God. ‘’do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:20.
Unfortunately, many women have allowed thieves to come into their homes, allowing them to steal their husbands, children, morals, the principles of God, their dignity, faith, love and even selling their bodies to the thieves. The bible says ‘’casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your group in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the Glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1Peter 5:7-11.
Women cannot afford to be at ease if they are to fulfil their purpose. If God had intended women to be the man, (that is as the head) or to be the breadwinner of her home, I believe she would not have been created as a helper. God made it clear in His word why He created women by creating Adam first.
Really I do not want to focus on what men or the world says we are, but to know and understand whom God says we are and why God created us. If you’re born again, filled with the Spirit of the most high God you are blessed and highly favoured, whether married or single.
Women have been chosen to give birth to kings and queens, leaders of every kind and their place in the home is very significant. I believe every woman who has received a new life from our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ should live her life pleasing to the Lord. Jesus said “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which you have given me too. And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.” John 17:4-5.
This is what should be our focus, fulfilling the will and purpose of God in our lives in our homes, with husbands if you’re married, children if you have them and in the community we live in, then the Lord will glorify Himself in us.
Until next time, be bless of the Lord.
